Best-Selling Author and El Paso Native Lisa Caprelli Featured at El Paso Barnes and Noble “Author Convention” on May 29, 2019

Caprelli is also nominated for the “Partners in Education” reading initiative and will visit her childhood school Thomas Manor Elementary as well as provide mentorship to high school student authors in the El Paso community.

LOS ANGELES, May 9, 2019 — Best-selling author Lisa Caprelli (formerly Hernandez) and publisher Happy Lifestyle Online are pleased to announce that Caprelli will be featured at the El Paso/Fountains at Farah Barnes and Noble “Author Convention” on May 29, 2019. Caprelli’s presentation will introduce the author’s newest children’s book brand, Unicorn Jazz, along with its illustrator, Davey Villalobos, at the convention from 5:00–8:00 p.m. that evening.

“I am thrilled to be back in my hometown sharing my love of helping others find and celebrate what makes them unique,” said Caprelli. “My roots are in the beautiful culture of the El Paso community, which helped shape me into the professional that I am today. My book, Unicorn Jazz, shares my love of El Paso as it features a long-time El Paso Zoo favorite, Mona the Elephant! I am very grateful to be able to spend time giving back to my beloved community.”

Caprelli will also launch the new Spanish version of Unicornio Jazz while in El Paso. Her student curriculum and new El Paso Zoo field trip guide are accessible to educators and teachers. She has also been nominated by Del Norte Elementary for the Power of One PIE Award for outstanding commitment to this school at the local “Partners in Education” meeting on May 30, which will be attended by more than 200 educators, principals, and counselors from the El Paso community.

Unicorn Jazz a series-to-be about a shy unicorn named Jazz who moves to the magical land of El Paso but struggles to make new friends. With encouragement from her mother’s special song, Jazz learns to be brave, confident and, most importantly, herself.
