BACKGROUND
Lisa Caprell is a children’s book author of the series: Unicorn Jazz. She was born & raised in El Paso; and has lived in Southern California for the past 20 years. She enjoys coming back to her hometown to reach “children’s imagination and creativity in the city she grew up in and to share in the joy of reading, writing and imagination. Her stories are loved by children for their hand-drawn, also created by illustrator — El Pasoan — Davey Villalobos.
The messages of Unicorn Jazz stories include positive messages for children: embracing their uniqueness, the power of believing in others and KINDNESS. She is in El Paso this week doing school author visits; and has newly created a partnership with the El Paso Zoological Society with Unicorn Jazz and its education resources for parents and educators
