Winter Donnelly starred as Young Elsa in Disney’s “Frozen” on Broadway. Winter is also a member of the Metropolitan Opera and has sung the national anthem at the US Tennis Open.
On top of all this, Winter has been in “Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” as well as Sesame Street! One of Winter’s dream characters to play is Lydia from “Beetlejuice,” with some of her songs and overall character being highly intriguing for Winter. If she could learn a new THING, Winter would want to learn how to bake and horseback riding. With her inspiring creativity, Winter makes her dreams a reality and continues to make dynamic waves on stage and on the screen.
Inspired by his mom who is a writer and director, Rhett Drennen‘s passion for the performing arts started at the age of 5 where he got to be part of an experiment segment called, “In The Lab.” Rhett also loves singing and playing the ukulele. He started practicing the ukulele at the age of 9 and although he wanted to quit after the third lesson, he did not give up with the support and encouragement of his mom.
When he is not performing, he sometimes likes having fun with a Nerf Gun war with friends. If he could take on a new THING, Rhett would love to try our Parkour. A positive message Rhett would like to share with other kids is to start small but dream big!
Nirvaan Pal was 7 years old when he realized that he wanted to perform! His love for the performing arts continues to grow and he is thankful for where he has gone due to this passion. Nirvaan sees the hardship of being a performer during the global pandemic of COVID-19, but understands that community is what will get the world through this.
To have voices come together for a common cause is a wonderful thing that Nirvaan greatly values. His favorite quote comes from author Angie Thomas: “Be Roses That Grow in the Concrete,” saying that “if you can be a “rose” and make the world a better place, go for it.”
It all started when Niko Rinaldi auditioned for a local production of “The Wizard of Oz” and was cast as a munchkin.
As a little kid, he would always dance and sing around the house, but it was in this moment that Niko knew he wanted to perform.
Some of Niko’s biggest creative inspirations are Lin-Manuel Miranda, the rock band Queen, and actor Ewan McGregor. As a Star Wars fan, Niko also admires film director George Lucas.
A special talent of Niko’s is his ability to impersonate many different accents and characters, Kermit the Frog being his specialty! In his free time, Niko visits his grandmother and her friends at her nursing home, always doing his best to make everyone smile!
“My mom tells me I was singing before I was talking,” says Scarlett London Diviney, a 9 year old singer from Brooklyn, New York.
Scarlett would like to be known for being a good friend, a great singer—the next Whitney–making a difference in world hunger through the cabaret’s I run with my friend.
Some of Scarlett’s staples are her high-top bun and baking! There is always a story forming in her head making the air and the walls a constant audience for this young storyteller.
Although it might look weird, Scarlett tells her stories out loud wherever she goes, even if it’s just out for a walk! If a movie was made about Scarlett, the title would be “Shimmer, Baby, Shimmer” for this sparkly performer!
Jolie Wasserman had singing when she had nothing else. From a young age, Jolie’s muscles could barely even support her enough to drink water, but through singing, Jolie was able to strengthen her lungs and get to where she is today!
Although she loves dancing and acting, singing is her greatest passion. Jolie has been writing songs since she was 6 years old.
Jolie loves “to help people to feel better about themselves and to feel accepted.” She started an organization with friend and fellow performer Scarlet London Diviney to help raise awareness and money to feed the food insecure through Voices To End Hunger.
Jolie wants to be known as someone who made a difference in someone else’s life, to be their strength when times are tough.
For Ellie Rose Rubin, performing is part of her everyday life, taking every available opportunity to perform! When she was in second grade, Ellie discovered her passion for performing, singing and acting whenever she could.
Through performing, Ellie wants to make a positive difference in the world and give others a reason to laugh! One of her inspirations for the stage is Santino Fontana with her film inspiration being Kristen Bell.
For Ellie, creativity is all about expressing yourself. Her creativity stretches to the point that if Ellie’s life were a movie it would be called “The Intriguing Emotions of Elanor Rubin”.
Ellie encourages kids to “Be kind to each other, and stop acting older than you are. Enjoy being a kid.”
Mia Francesca Martinez was 8 years old when she saw the musical “Matilda” on Broadway, stirring in her the desire to be a performer! Mia’s parents have invested everything into helping her become the best she can be at what she does, even landing a role in “How The Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical” Nation Tour.
Mia wants to be known for spreading joy and inspiring others to follow their dreams! She believes that creativity is “finding your imagination and exploring something amazing, interesting, and out of the box for you.”
Mia sees how confidence and being yourself is a challenge for people but encourages everyone to stand out! Having everyone the same would just be boring. During this season, Mia thinks that everyone has to unite in a positive and supporting matter because that’s the only way we can get through hard times as a community.
In 4th grade, Jesse Rodgers auditioned for a theater group with a couple of his friends and discovered his passion for singing! Since this moment, his love for singing and performing has secured itself in his heart.
Two of his biggest vocal inspirations are Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, powerhouses in the music industry that have left a lasting impact. Jesse is very aware of the social issues that present in America at this time, saying that he feels “that this time is an important time for people to come together because, with all of this COVID-19 stuff, some people are struggling to get through this time and adapt to this craziness.”
He recognizes the struggle that kids have to go through with online school and being distant from their friends, but Jesse hopes that with the vaccine, there will be new THINGS to try and to get Broadway back up and running.
Since she was 6 months old, Sophia Ruiz has been modeling for some big-name brands! But it wasn’t until she was 4 years old that Sophia knew she wanted to perform.
For the past five years, Sophia has been acting with The Kid’s Theatre Company, her favorite production being “Mary Poppins.” Her biggest inspiration as a performer is Katy Perry.”
Sophia’s dream is to be the star actress of a famous movie as well as sing and act on Broadway. Besides performing, Sophia enjoys riding horses and spending time with her friends and family. If she could learn a new THING, Sophia would want to take karate lessons!
Seeing “School of Rock” on Broadway changed Robbie Crandall’s life forever. It was at that moment when he was 5½ that Robbie knew he wanted to be on stage just like his inspiration, Alex Brighton.
By the age of 6, Robbie was taking voice lessons followed by his performance as Snoopy in “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”! Robbie admires actor Tom Holland as well and would love to get lunch with them sometime!
When he isn’t performing, Robbie enjoys learning about the behind the scenes work of productions, and all the little ins and outs. Wonder where he is? Check the call desk and you might find this performer!
Molly Lyons was 7 years old when she knew she wanted to perform. With an extensive career in the arts, Molly thrives when she is performing, regardless of what it is! From singing to dancing, acting to voiceover work, Molly has built quite the career.
Although she loves everything about performing, her favorite activities are ballet and tap dancing. Her stage performances include “Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz,” “Fun Home,” “Annie,” and “The Christmas Voyager.” But Molly’s expertise does not stop there! She has lended her voice for many projects including Lysol and webseries “Orange Moo Cow.” She has three dogs and four siblings, so her house is never a bore!
Parker Dzuba has been performing since he was 7 years old, but has been fascinated with the Broadway stage since he was at the age of 4. Although he enjoys singing and acting, Parker loves to dance especially in the contemporary style.
Recently, Parker played Gavroche in “Les Miserables” on the National Broadway Tour. One individual who Parker looks up to is Nick Cartell as he is not only an incredible actor and singer, but an amazing leader as well. Parker also looks up to his dancer teacher, Brian Maciak.
Brian’s passion for dancing and his students inspires Parker to go above and beyond himself!
If he could learn a new THING, Parker would want to learn the ukulele and piano so that he could write his own songs!
MaddieKay Harris was listening to Beauty and the Beast — with her family in the car — that changed everything for her.
It was when she was four years old that she realized her love for singing and acting and she has been performing ever since. Some of her favorite roles are Little Anastasia (on the Anastasia first National Tour), Annie, Matilda and Sally Brown.
Some of her favorites top singers are are Pink and Kelly Clarkson because they’re not afraid to show who they are! MaddieKay continues to learn the power of her voice and what you stand for.
She has learned to use her social media as a way to spread positive messages that other kids can be inspired by and learn from, “standing for what you believe can make the world better.”
Watching the national tour of “The Little Mermaid” at four years old, Lillian Hamilton knew she wanted to be up on that stage, too. Lillian is inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda as she loves to perform and write just like he does!
If she could, Lillian would like to meet Emma Watson. She’d ask Emma questions on what it was like to be famous as a kid and the experience of being in a successful film series.
Lillian enjoys horseback riding and taking care of little kids. She loves the feeling of the wind in her hair as she rides around the ring, and adores hearing about how kids see the world.
“It is both work and play” to help parents with their children, says Lillian, all to bring joy to people’s faces.
Her passion and love for theater was evident since Emily Isabel was a little girl, she knew she wanted to be on stage. Emily is a 12 year old true triple threat, she has played Brigitta in the National tour of the Sound music, and also has appeared in a number of commercials. Most recently, she was on Saturday Night Live!
She‘s currently also working on some other fun projects! If someone were to create a movie about Emily’s life it would be called, “The Life and Adventures of Emily.” One day, Emily wants to be known for either an actor, a voice over artist, or a children’s book author.
Although school can be stressful during this time, Emily would like all the kids to know, “we will get through this.”
Arwen Monzon-Sanders is a 10-year-old performer who plays Young Anna in the “Frozen” National Tour! Since she was 3 years old, Arwen has been singing and dancing, with her acting career beginning at the age of 6.
If Arwen could be known for anything, it would be her great singing. Arwen definitely feels alive when on stage and performing, which shows with her loving every bit of the process. She does not view her performances as a task, but rather as a dream come true.
An inspiration she would love to meet is Canadian-American singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette. “Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud,” by Maya Angelou is a quote that she relates with by shining on a stage!
Seeing “School of Rock” on Broadway changed everything for Layla Capers when she was 8 years old. It was the first time Layla was able to envision herself as one of the kids from the show.
A year later, her dream came true and she landed on her first Broadway show as part of the closing cast as Tomika of the “School of Rock.” And 9 months later, she booked her second broadway show as Young Nala for the Lion King.
Layla’s inspiration comes from an artist named HER, “I admire her so much and aspire to be like her as I grow up.” Layla loves helping others, prior to the pandemic, she was able to create care packages for women and men who were on the street at Times Square as a way to encourage and spread kindness to those in need.
By the time Cody Braverman was just three years old, he knew he wanted to perform on Broadway. From singing, to dancing, to acting, Cody is determined to make his dream come true!
The role he aspires most would be the Phantom in “Phantom of the Opera,” but Cody still desires to make it to Broadway as a young performer. As a kid, Cody is aware of the issue of bullying that so many kids across the nation experience. But even in the face of bullies, “I just keep following my heart and doing things that I love because more than anything, you have to be happy with you.”
Cody enjoys teaching his younger siblings about art and creating fun truck movies for his little brother. Already skilled in the piano, if Cody could learn a new THING, he would want to learn how to play the trumpet!
Having already been on two Broadway National Tours as Cindy Lou Who in “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and Little Cosette in “Les Miserables,” Mackenzie Mercer dreams of becoming a pop singer.
Some of her biggest inspirations include Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift.
While the rest of her family is into sports, Mackenzie has been writing her own music since she was two years old, saying she wants to be a singer right out of pre-school!
Mackenzie enjoys drawing anime. “Drawing makes me feel calm.” A new THING that Mackenzie would like to learn would be the Japanese language to help in watching anime without subtitles.
Kaden Amari Anderson’s first appearance was on HBO’s “Show Me a Hero” followed by landing his first national commercial for Geico Insurance.
He has been featured on multiple promo commercials for Nick Jr. as well as “Sesame Street.” Kaden played the role of Travis Younger in “A Raisin in the Sun” and was expected to make his Broadway debut on “Caroline, or Change” as the Jackie/Joe alternate before Broadway shut down due to COVID-19.
As an aspiring actor, Kaden’s biggest inspirations are Michael B. Jordan, Marlon Wayans, Chadwick Boseman and Will Smith.
If Kaden could meet anyone in history, it would be Michael Jackson because it would be cool to “learn from another child star who rose to become the King of Pop.”
“I have always known that I wanted to be a creative person, whether I was coloring, drawing, writing stories, or playing music,” says 12-year-old Cordelia Comando.
At 6 years old, Cordelia knew she wanted to be a performer, beginning her career at a theater camp.
By age 7, Cordelia made it to her first stage production. It almost seems like Cordelia was made for performing as she is named after one of the characters from the hit show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Cordelia draws much of her inspiration from Broadway in addition to her love for the Harry Potter cast.
Sofia Swade has been singing since she was 4 years old and has an incredible passion for it.
Her favorite genres include pop and musical theater. Sofia also plays the piano and hopes to be a professional singer! When she was 5 years old, Sofia saw a stage production of Annie and wanted to be part of the cast. Three years later, Sofia was cast as Molly in her local theater’s production of “Annie”! This was the moment when Sofia knew she wanted to perform.
If you couldn’t tell that Sofia has a deep affinity for singing, her favorite quote is “The Only Thing Better Than Singing Is More Singing” by Ella Fitzgerald.
Sofia enjoys drawing and takes dance classes every week! No matter what, Sofia loves to perform and has fun doing it!
Caitlin Foley’s got a passion for performing and it shows!
When she was only 9 years old, Caitlin knew she wanted to perform, although her mom likes to say she was singing before she could talk.
Caitlin has been a part of many productions such as “Les Miserables” and “The Addams Family” in addition to some film and voiceover work.
As a creative, Caitlin feels that it is important to express yourself, your ideas, and thoughts in ways that are unique to you! This is how Caitlin desires to inspire others: through her creative performances!
An intriguing quirk of Caitlin’s is that her eyes change color nearly every day. If Caitlin could learn a new THING it would be calculus! Caitlin loves math and would like to expand her knowledge on the subject.
