“My writing helps parents and educators have important conversations with children that include compassion and understanding. Through social skills and communication, children can do much more than they ever realized. Some top takeaways from my children’s books have been: “I am different and that’s awesome.” “We’re all different as human beings.” “We all thrive for friendship, kindness and love in our lives.” -LC
Social Emotional Intelligence learning has been recognized in Unicorn Jazz books as important and necessary for children. The first book introduces the character, Woof the Crow, who believes in Unicorn Jazz. After the story is read, I point out how sometimes it takes just one person to believe in you, or for you to believe in them, to change your life.
Because of the need for more dual language learning, we’re doing everything we can to reach English and Spanish speaking communities.
