Los Angeles, California, January 13, 2020  —  Orange County Children’s book Author, Lisa Caprelli, has teamed up with Microsoft Office to host free “Parent and Me” Kids Workshop in Mission Viejo workshops year-round.  The workshop incorporates technology by Microsoft Office as well as enjoyment found in reading and writing, while Caprelli gives examples that directly relate to the Unicorn Jazz picture books. The next event will be Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in Mission Viejo, California and you can find ongoing events on the Unicorn Jazz Facebook page.

The special day promises to be filled with unicorns, rainbows, and imagination!  Using Microsoft Surface Pro and the One Note Application, children will be given the opportunity to utilize the Unicorn Jazz activity exercises to help express ideas about the story, including a character map and coloring book pages.

Here is a video recap of our last event:

In addition to skills development, the Unicorn Jazz videobook on Amazon Prime will be showcased.  It includes the Unicorn  Jazz Friendship Song, sung by Kerri Kasem, which is available on Spotify, Itunes, YouTube Music, and 30 other music platforms.

“Picture books come alive with the ideas and collaboration of writing, drawing and more,” Caprelli says, “Children enjoy relating to animal characters, which made it easier to introduce the main character, Unicorn Jazz, in all of the books.”

Children will also have the opportunity to see and play with the life-size, 50-inch Unicorn Jazz plush toy during these events.
