“As a local of the Huntington Beach area, I am so happy that the Reading Reed is something that is easily accessible to our children.”, says Unicorn Jazz author Lisa Caprelli. “I created the Unicorn Jazz series with a heavy focus on the promotion of children’s literacy and how reading great stories can bring about a state of happiness that is unique to ourselves. The sharing aspect is also a great way to teach kids that we are all in this together and how to build a strong sense of community and belonging by looking out for one another, all of which are major themes and morals found in each of the Unicorn Jazz books!”

Lisa Caprelli will read Bee-ing Happy with Unicorn Jazz and Friends followed by a Bee Happy paper bag craft:

Turning One Book into Many

Pacific City mall aims to have a new local author come in each month on the last Wednesday for a live reading. Lisa is more than happy to be part of the November reading and is looking forward to seeing the smiles on all the children’s faces as she shares her fabulous tales with them.

“All it takes is adding only one book to the Reading Reef shelf for kids to gain access to loads of other stories at no cost or membership.”, adds Lisa. “After all, sharing great stories has been and remains the most fundamental aspect of human connection”.
