The audience gets to connect and share their own content with show producers in order to do a show and tell of sorts. Each person who does a segment becomes a part of the growing show. As such, it has been genuinely groundbreaking in the way that it has allowed people access to a platform in order to demonstrate their talents.

UNICORN JAZZ PRESENTS THE THING I DO SHOW

There was not a precedent for a show like this until the global pandemic made it viable. The show’s creators saw a genuine void in high-quality entertainment for kids and were concerned about the sobering reports on the news being shown night after night. Eventually, the dream of creating a internet-based web series that would create a safe space for kids to be happy came to life. Kids have used it as a chance to be happy and showcase the things they care about at the same time. For kids who are locked away from the outside world, it has even become the highlight of their day.

Unicorn Jazz donates its shows to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

“I always enjoyed Sesame Street’s concept growing up, and I wanted to create an innovative way for kids to participate in the video content sent in while using puppet characters from my stories kids can relate to,” states director and writer, Lisa Caprelli.

“Unicorn Jazz Presents The Thing I Do” has been a platform for kids and young, talented professionals—child performers such as Julian Lerner, Winter Donnelly, Arwen, and Cordelia—to express themselves and display their gifts. It has been an effective way to help kids from all walks of life showcase the things that make them special, all while presenting relevant news to children in an age-appropriate manner.
