New books will be given to the first 100 elementary grade students at this ACCC event on August 7, 2021. If we raise more than 100 book donations, we will be excited to donate them to ACCC and some will also go to the orphanage – Shade Tree Children’s Home in Orphanage for its children’s library when we visit the kids again in October.

We will share the progress and updates on our social media and this page!  Lisa Caprelli, along with other  children’s book author friends as well as community members and people of the Unicorn Jazz family will donate new books as part of the giveaway.

Join our fun event as Lisa also hosts giveaways like:  free coloring book pages and free curriculum, activity pages and resources for parents, teachers and educators.

Children’s author teams up with authors globally for children's hospitals

In December Unicorn Jazz community donated over 350+ books to Children’s Hospital of Orange County.  We are aiming to raise donations for 100+ books for our August giveaway and more giveaways for the local children.

Volunteers and members of ACCC have been extremely proactive since the pandemic to enhance their efforts, including working on having open beds in their Shared Housing area and obtaining sponsors to provide bed grants to mature focused college students, entrepreneurs, and transformational life individuals.

ACCC’s goal is to impact the Los Angeles West Athens Community

Another current goal for the ACCC is to purchase a 2-ton pickup truck for the purpose of transporting food to the pantry, as well as to have funds to pay for a driver and a driver assist.

Past ACCC events consisted of Holiday themes throughout 2020, such as a Halloween Candy Giveaway, a Turkey Giveaway, and a Christmas Food and Toy Giveaway combined with Toys for Tots and FedEx. The ACCC most recently hosted Grocery Outlet Drive-In Movie Nights that ran from February to April 2021.

Kid Actress, Broadway performer, Emily Isabel  will join us via Zoom to sing for our Back To School Event Storytime & Song!

Special Thanks to  the following book drive donation partners for their generous book donations:
