Founded by the non-profit organization LitWorld in 2007, World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) is an annual celebration and literary movement sponsored by Scholastic and many other educational partners.

Letter writing encourages a love of reading, writing, creating and touches upon imagination and the arts.
If your young scholar wants to get into writing (and an adult is not making them do this), then my Pen Pals With A Children’s Book Author form is for them. It’s great for children 6–12, educators, classrooms, and libraries.
Since its inception, LitWorld has been able to expand WRAD and its mission into 173 countries around the world!

Lisa Caprelli, author of the children’s picture book series, Unicorn Jazz, will be hosting her own events in honor of WRAD as well! We at Unicorn Jazz are so excited to be a part of this moving event.
