San Ramon is an urban village home to over 76,000 residents located in Contra Costa County, CA. Surrounded by the Diablo Range Mountains which are visible from most parts of the area, San Ramon is uniquely labeled as an urban village due to its architectural and natural layout. The area is home to many residential urban buildings that mostly surrounded by undeveloped sections of grasslands and oak tree orchards. In 2001, San Ramon was officially designated into the Tree City USA program, an organization that provides recognition and assistance towards community forestry in urban areas.
